I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and went to high school at John Burroughs School. I then attended Washington University in St. Louis where I graduated with honors in 2008. I double-majored in Political Science and Psychology with a focus in Game Theory.  After moving to Chicago in the summer of 2008, I began tutoring students for Chicago's different high school entrance exams. I launched Test Prep Chicago in the fall of 2012.

After two years in chemical engineering, I graduated magna cum laude from Texas Tech University as their first BFA graduate in Musical Theatre in 2017. In my time at Texas Tech, I spent a year and a half of experience tutoring students with learning disabilities, and acted in and directed for the Burktech Players, a theatre company that was with both Texas Tech students and adults on the spectrum. I then moved to Chicago in early 2018, and worked for Nordstrom Trunk Club and Everlane, both as a customer care representative, before coming on as TPC’s Tutoring Coordinator. Since the move, I’ve also been busy acting, playing, and composing in the Chicago theatre and cabaret scene, with Underscore Theatre Company and the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Festival, among others.

I moved to Chicago in August 2021 after receiving a Master's degree in secondary education from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to this experience, I earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Binghamton with a major in English and minor in education. Within the last five years, I have enjoyed numerous opportunities in the classroom as a substitute teacher, teaching intern, and middle school reading teacher. Professionally, my ultimate goal is to make education an equitable and enjoyable environment for all students.

Originally from Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, I moved to Chicago in the fall of 2021. After graduating from Colby College with a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, I worked as a farmer and educator at Bucknell University, developing college-level educational programming and instructing students on sustainable farming practices. With additional experience tutoring and leading SAT prep courses, I'm motivated to help young people develop the tools they need to make the most of their education.

I graduated from DePaul University in 2020 with a degree in Math and Economics. Within my field of study, I have sought to find solutions for increased social equity and overall quality of life. Education is essential for the goal of individual and societal utility, and I strive to contribute to this goal through accessible and high-standard academic teachings. I have previously been an educator in Chicago Public Schools and wanted to expand my reach to help students from all over the city start the next chapter of their education. In addition to my academic interests, I enjoy running with my dog, playing piano, and watching films at the Music Box. I hope to be a good resource for your student, no matter their needs!
